Grand Master Ralph Truesdell is the owner, operator, and head instructor of True Tae Kwon Do;
he has been studying the martial arts for more than thirty years.
A native of the Fargo-Moorhead area, Mr. Ralph initially trained at the taekwondo gym of Fargo-based master-instructor Moo Yong Yun while attending nearby Moorhead State University.
After graduation and the completion of his black belt certification, he moved to Minneapolis where, beginning in 1983, he taught taekwondo at the Blaisdell Branch YMCA. In 1994, while still at Blaisdell, Mr. Ralph was promoted to the taekwondo master-instructor rank of 4th dan.
In 1996 Master Ralph founded True Tae Kwon Do in his new home city of Bloomington. After intensive training in kumdo under the instruction of Great Grand Master Moo Yong Yun, he received his black belt and has offered classes in the Korean sword art since 1998.
Grand Master Ralph Truesdell currently holds the taekwondo rank of 7th dan (Kukkiwon certified), as well as 2nd and 5th degree black belts in kumdo and hapkido, respectively.
